Technical Writer/Report Production Specialist in Connecticut

Our firm is seeking a professional Technical Writer/Report Production Specialist in its Newington, Connecticut office. The Technical Writer/Report Production Specialist will assist in the preparation and production of technical memoranda, Phase IA cultural resources assessment survey reports, Phase IB cultural resources reconnaissance reports, Phase II National Register of Historic Places testing and evaluation reports, Phase III data recovery reports, and architectural survey and documentation reports. This is a full time, in-house position (telecommuting for this employment is not available).

Qualified candidates must have a BA/BS degree in Anthropology (Archaeology) or Historic Preservation, or closely-related discipline (MA/MS is strongly preferred) and the following:

  • at least three years of professional experience, preferably as an archaeologist
  • excellent research, writing, editing, photographic, and photo editing abilities
  • strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with a team of professionals
  • ability to multi-task and transition from project to project quickly and seamlessly
  • ability to work on and meet deadlines
  • experience with federal and state cultural resource management laws and regulations, including NHPA Section 106 and NEPA
  • demonstrated experience with Microsoft Work, Excel, and Access, as well as desktop publishing and photo/figure editing software
