Archaeology Field Technicians needed for projects in North Carolina and Mississippi

LG2ES has immediate openings for temporary Archaeology Field Technicians for survey projects in North Carolina and Mississippi.  We are seeking enthusiastic, hard-working individuals with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology, or history; and prior field experience as an archaeological field technician in the Southeast.  The Archaeology Field Technicians will work closely with LG2ES cultural resources project managers and field directors.  We are looking for individuals with a strong commitment to technical excellence.  Employment with LG2ES is subject to the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or History.
  • Minimum of one to two years of CRM experience, preferably in the Southeast, and completion of a field school.
  • Candidates must have strong experience with identifying and recording prehistoric and/or historic resources.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Familiarity with standard field methods and technology.
  • Must be able to perform the required physical work in potentially adverse environmental conditions.
