Project Archaeologist Needed (Full Time/Permanent Position ) - Baltimore, Maryland


Trileaf Corporation is now accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Project Archaeologist in Baltimore, Maryland.  

Applicants must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s (SOI) Professional Qualification Standards in Archaeology to be considered for this position.  This job requires the completion of SHPO file reviews for above/below ground resources, Phase I surveys, and completion of cultural resources reports for telecommunications projects.  The ideal candidate will have previous telecom work experience and/or applied knowledge of NEPA compliance, as well as a knowledge of regional archaeology.  

Applicants must be qualified to work in Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Pennsylvania, but will reside in/near Baltimore, MD.

Salary will be competitive and contingent upon experience. Trileaf's benefits include the following:

Job Requirements

Candidates must meet the Secretary of the Interior Standards (36 CFR 61) in archaeology and be eligible for Register of Professional Archaeologists

·        M.A/M.S in Archaeology or Anthropology Required

·       At least 1 year of supervisory experience 

·        Desire to travel

·        Previous telecom work experience

·        Understanding of various state specific SHPO and Tribal requirements 

·        Able to work independently

·        Demonstrated leadership ability

·        Demonstrate ability to carry work to completion

·        Experience in Section 106 compliance

·        Excellent communication and organizational skills

·        Creative problem-solving skills

·        Adaptability and flexibility

·        Initiative, drive, and desire to execute good and ethical archaeology

·        Ability to work in the field independently

·        Ability to meet strict deadlines

·        Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
