Archaeologist/field technicians part-time/on-call for Phase I, II and III in Guam

This is in preparation for an archaeological project Occurring in Guam with fieldwork projected to begin in September. We are looking for experienced archaeologist and Historian capable of working alone in the field. Technicians will be need in the later stages (mostly in the testing, excavation, and monitoring stages of the project). I need people for GPS recording, testing, excavating, and monitoring.

Thorough notes with daily summary and data uploads are a must and need to be done to federal standards. There may be some potential for some report writing down the line.

 

There’ll be a Phase I portion of the project and Phase II with testing. This portion would last between 1 and 2 months and is projected to start as soon as September.

This project require significant documentation. Artifact cataloging, etc. We are working on logistics pending interest, availability and experience level.  Monitoring will occur after the Phase I and II and will last 3 to 6 months.

 

Travel and rental will be provided. We are working on logistics of that (again, pending interest in the project and crew size). If you are only avaialbe for a certain stage of the project, we may be able to work with you. Compensation is based off experience and workload. pacific experience preferred.
