SEARCH has an immediate opening for a full-time and experienced Archaeological Laboratory Director.  The Laboratory Director will coordinate with Project Managers (PM) and Principal Investigators (PI) to design, plan and implement data analysis of archaeological material from intake to curation in concert with laboratory staff.

Requirements:

  •    Master’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field; 
  •   At least 5 years’ experience managing archaeological laboratory work;
  •   Proven ability to undertake the analysis of material from a wide range of time periods and   geographical areas;
  •  Ability to multi-task on multiple simultaneous projects; and
  •  Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Understanding of the Cultural Resource Management (CRM) industry (firms, clients, contracts, new research, and projects) at the region-wide, nationwide, and worldwide level.


This position will be based out of SEARCH’s Florida offices either in Gainesville or Jacksonville but is negotiable.
