Field Technician for Virginia - Terracon

Terracon, a 100 percent employee-owned consulting engineering firm specializing in Environmental, Facilities, Geotechnical, and Engineering Services, has an opening for one Archaeological Field Technician for two survey projects in central Virginia. The projects are scheduled to start on October 12, 2020, and last about three weeks. Additional fieldwork may follow depending on interest and performance.

Pay is $17.00/hr.  Per diem and single occupancy hotel room will be provided for the duration of the project. Successful candidates must possess a B.A/B.S. or above in anthropology/archaeology or a closely related discipline and have at least four months of CRM experience. Applicants must be able to work in physically demanding field conditions and will be subject to a drug screen, criminal background check, and be fever-free prior to being hired. Applicants must also be able to swim well as the projects will involve extensive time on the water in a canoe and boat.
