In-House Consultant Archaeologist at Major CA Utility


MCC is currently recruiting for a full-time archaeologist to work with one of our utility clients in California. 

Roles and responsibilities include:

Working with the environmental team at the utility on multiple programs;
Managing cultural resources compliance components of task orders - surveys, monitoring, site testing records searches, etc.;
Organizing and facilitating projects as they come through various business units at the utility;
Conducting records searches, surveys, field visits, monitoring, etc. as needed;
Preparing Cultural Resources assessments, monitoring reports, and site records;
Reviewing work product from other consultants;
As-needed coordination with state and federal agencies;
Coordination with Native American representatives; and
Coordination with SHPO


Minimum five years project management experience in Cultural Resources
CEQA/NEPA knowledge and five years of experience on wide range of projects
Advanced degree in Archaeology, or 15+ years of experience in California archaeology
Minimum three years working with State of California Public Utilities sector projects
