In Situ Archaeological Consulting, LLC is seeking 3 to 4 Archaeological Field Technicians for several small projects in Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Most projects will be single-day with some multi-day projects. Lodging and Per Diem will be provided when needed. Potential employees should be based in or near the Twin Cities Metro Area. The ideal candidate will be local to the Twin Cities Metro Area (or nearby), have a B.A. or M.A. in Anthropology, completed archaeological field school, and possess experience conducting fieldwork in a cultural resource management setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.

·       University-based archaeological field school and/or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.

·       Knowledge and understanding of equipment and technology used to perform recording of archaeological field data.

·       Knowledge of basic field excavation techniques; knowledge of basic archaeological laboratory techniques.

·       Project-specific certification and licensure may be required, if applicable.
