Announcement: Technical Report Writer
Scientific Consultant Services, Inc. (SCS Archaeology) is
accepting applications for the position of Technical
Writer. The position is available for immediate start and involves writing
archaeological reports and plans for projects SCS conducts throughout the
Hawaiian Islands. Applicants must reside on Oahu. This is a
full-time position.
The reports are written for archaeological fieldwork that SCS
has completed. Monitoring and data recovery plans are also written for projects
that the State Historic Preservation Division (SHPD) has required for a
project. The writer will work with the SCS island managers to produce the
documents.
Applicants possessing a B.A. degree or higher in anthropology
or in a related field will be given priority. However, we seek quality
writers from any discipline. Time and task management are key, as work may
often necessitate dividing time between concurrent projects. Clear and
efficient communication with concise documentation skills is desirable. The
applicant should be a reliable and motivated self-starter and able
to perform their work independently, or in a team with co-workers/other
personnel needed on a project.

commensurate with the position and experience of the applicant and will be
