Archaeological Field Assistants: The Monticello Department of
Archaeology seeks one qualified Archaeological Field Assistant for a six-month
temporary assignment beginning mid-to late January. Working five days a week,
responsibilities include deciphering, excavating, and recording stratified
deposits. Prior training in an archaeological field school, additional
practical experience with area excavation, and basic knowledge of eighteenth-
and nineteenth-century artifacts are required. Work will include STP survey and stratigraphic excavations. Benefits will be offered. Application deadline is December
