I don't know if you've been able to find any info specifically on Greek battlefields. You may want to google Classical Warfare. Or call a university or college and get a list of texbooks used (usually the most up-to-date). I learned much about Roman/Greek military campaigns just from taking a basic intro to classical history. Good Luck.

I don't know if you plan on pursuing Classics in college (classical archaeology, which I did). If so, you'd be well prepared to pick yourself up a copy of Thucydides (The Pelopponisian Wars). A good website is www.laconia.org; they list some good reading material, both modern and classical authors, related to Greek warfare.

You should check out BAJR's website. I believe its bajr.org but i may be mistaken, he has a ton of information about digs going on in europe and posts them.

If you get in touch with Dr. Tony Pollard at the Centre for Battlefield Archaeology in Scotland he might be able to tell you about any Battlefield Sites in Greece.
The Webpage is: http://www.battlefieldarchaeology.arts.gla.ac.uk/
He has just completed an archaeological assesment on the Battle of Culloden which we featured in the May issue of Past Horizons Magazine
