Jeff's service was today (Nov 24). It was well attended by many people which is a testament to how great of a guy Jeff really was. It was good to see old friends who came together to pay their respects to a person who really contributed to the field and was an all around good person with a terrific sense of humor.
Here is his obituary for those who may wish to view it.
Jeffrey D. Harbison of Lambertville NJ, died Tuesday November 17th in a tragic work related boating accident in Glens Falls N.Y. He was 39 years old.
He was the beloved husband of Jennifer (Nee Marston) Harbison.
Born in Corpus Christi, TX, he was the son of Captain Donald and Joanne (Nee Marr) Harbison of Doylestown, PA.
Jeff, the son of Navy parents, grew up in several destinations including Maryland, Virginia, Maine, New York, Wales, Great Britain, Florida, Massachusetts and the Azores Portugal. He was a 1988 graduate of Central Bucks West High School Doylestown, PA.
Jeff graduated from the University of Delaware and earned a Masters Degree from Temple University. He was the Principle Archaeologist, employed by URS Greiner Corporation, Berlin, NJ. Jeff loved his work and his career as an archeologist and took great pride in each project. He was a dedicated professional.
Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and naturalist. He loved kayaking, fishing, and sailing. World travels included South America, Europe and Puerto Rico.
Jeff was a good friend to all who knew him, a loving son, and a devoted father and husband.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jeff is survived by his loving children Aidan J. and Luna G. Harbison of Lambertville, NJ. He is also survived by his brother Donald S.
