What looks good on a resume?

Massey914

Aside from the obvious(field schools, and volunteer work), what else will look good on a resume? If I have certification in first aid or cpr, will this be a plus? How about scuba certification? Also, as far as volunteering goes, does volunteering at museums or historical sites(ex: historical forts) look good on a resume alongside your excavation volunteering? Any help would be grateful.

Yes it does. I don't know about scuba really unless you have had underwater arch experience. Just some forewarning:

WORK IS HARD TO FIND

I haven't been able to find work in my area, Southeast, since about august and have had to find a job in a very unrelated market. I would highly, highly, highly recommend staying in school or if possible get in with a museum if you have been working with them during undergrad.

How old are you? Would you be able to find work outside of your area?

I dont know if I could, I am limited to travel due to a baby coming in March. I am 24 graduated in 2007. I heard it was bad in other areas as well.

I'm 21 and will be graduating next year, so I hope the job market is a little more open then..
