Southeast Missouri State 2010 field school

Join Southeast Missouri State University for the 2010 archaeology field school!

We will be excavating at two fantastic sites this summer: the large Native American mound center of Kincaid in southern Illinois and the fortified village of South Cape in southeast Missouri.  Both sites date to the Mississippian time period, approximately AD 1000-1450.

The focus of this five-week field school is on teaching proper North American excavation and laboratory techniques in an entirely hands-on method.  You will earn 4 upper level university level credits in anthropology by participating.
