Crew Leader/Enumerator – temporary position included supervising Crew Leader Assistants and Enumerators that were in the field and re-assigning areas as needed. Also responsible for verifying the accuracy of all of their work and making sure that the paperwork and AA books were filled out completely, correcting any errors, as well as, meeting deadlines set by the Lakewood Census Office.  I was also required to dismiss those Enumerators that were not able to fulfill their position effectively.

HR Assistant – temporary position verifying Personnel Evaluation Records in Oracle in order to update PEP system while also providing office support.

FIELD SCHOOL COURSES

Bioarchaeology Field Exp - Peru – included excavating a cemetery, data collection and analysis of the remains in a lab on site at the Colonial Church at Magdalena de Cao Viejo.

Archaeological Field Research – included continued excavation and data recovery of a historical site called the Bradford-Perley house in the Ken-Caryl Ranch area of Colorado, surveying of the West Bijou Creek area with the Plains Conservation Center, as well as, writing daily field reports and a final report.

 

PHYSICAL ANTHROPOLOGY COURSES

Paleopathology: Archaeology of Disease – included memorization of the human skeleton, learning to age and sex a human skeleton, the study of diseases that manifest themselves in the human skeletal structure and the writing of 4 case studies.

Mummies of the World – included the study of all methods of mummification, both natural and artificial around the world and a final paper on a chosen form of mummification.

 

OTHER ARCHEOLOGICAL COURSES

Practical Archaeology – included a focus on Cultural Resource Management – with research, writing a Class I Survey and a final report on a specific material class that had been previously excavated at the Bradford-Perley site.

World Prehistory – general studies of prehistoric archaeology throughout the world, included preparing and presenting a final, oral PowerPoint presentation on the site of Skara Brae.

Archaeology of North America  - general studies of prehistoric archaeology of North America with a final research paper on evidence of violence in prehistoric cultures.
