Public in New York" to be held at the African Burial Ground National Monument on
Saturday, September 18, 2010, 9am-12pm. This symposiums is part of a Wenner-Gren
Foundation sponsored workshop on the "Dynamics of Inclusion in Public
Archaeology." The event is free and open to the public. Please note the list of
speakers and their topics.
Featured speakers include Amanda Sutphin, Warren Perry, Cynthia Copeland, Jenna
Coplin, and Sherrill Wilson.
Presentations will explore public engagements with archaeology in the New York
region with a special emphasis on sites associated with African Diaspora
communities.
