The Student Conservation Association seeks an Archaeology Intern for Joshua Tree National Park in California (October 2010-October 2011). This position will assist with archaeological inventory and field recording of sites; write draft archaeological site records and reports; help with archaeological site stabilization by monitoring, mapping, and screening soil when holes are dug for fence posts or planting; catalog artifacts; organize and maintain databases (including GIS); assist with various routine tasks associated with resource division functions.
